When to Use Desktop Wallpaper (QHD)
QHD (2560×1440) is the standard for 27-inch monitors and many gaming displays. It’s also a good size for dual-monitor setups using a single wide image.
Tips for Desktop Wallpaper (QHD) Images
For photo wallpapers, JPG at quality 90 looks excellent. For minimal or flat designs, PNG preserves crisp edges. File sizes are typically 1–3 MB.
Frequently Asked Questions
My monitor is 1920×1080 — should I use this or 1080p?
Use the 1080p preset for Full HD monitors. The QHD preset produces images larger than your screen can display, wasting file size without visual benefit.
Does this work for ultrawide monitors?
Ultrawide monitors use 3440×1440 or similar. This preset will fit the height but not the width. Use the Pixels mode for custom ultrawide dimensions.
