What the image editor does
KoalaPic's image editor rotates, flips, adjusts and filters an image in the browser without installing anything or creating an account. It applies operations in a fixed order — transforms first, then a named filter, then manual adjustments, then auto-enhance — so the result is the same whatever order you set the controls in. Edited files are converted and deleted within an hour.
What you can change
- Rotate by any angle from 0 to 359 degrees clockwise, and flip horizontally or vertically.
- Brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness each run from 0.0 to 3.0, where 1.0 leaves the image unchanged.
- Ten filter presets: grayscale, sepia, warm, cool, vintage, vivid, soft, high-contrast black and white, fade and dramatic.
- Gaussian blur by radius in pixels, and a one-click auto-enhance that is applied last.
- Accepts 25 file extensions including HEIC, RAW and PDF, up to 50 MB and 16384 by 16384 pixels.
Does editing an image on KoalaPic reduce its quality?
Only where the format forces it. Edits are applied to the decoded pixels at full resolution, so nothing is lost in the editing itself. Saving to JPG, WEBP, AVIF or HEIC re-encodes with lossy compression; saving to PNG or TIFF is lossless and reproduces the edited image exactly.
Can I edit a HEIC or RAW photo without converting it first?
Yes. HEIC files and the ten supported RAW families — CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, ORF, RW2, RAF, PEF and SRW — are decoded before the edits are applied, so you can rotate, filter and adjust a camera file directly and choose the output format afterwards.
What does auto-enhance actually do?
Auto-enhance runs after every other operation and adjusts contrast and colour balance based on the image's own histogram. Because it is applied last, it works on the result of your filter and manual adjustments rather than fighting them.
Are my edited photos stored on your servers?
No. The uploaded file and the edited result are both deleted automatically one hour after conversion, and neither is used for anything else. No account is required to edit an image.
