Conversion failed — What to do
If your conversion fails, here are the most common causes and how to fix them.
Common error categories
Invalid file
The uploaded file is corrupted, truncated, or not actually an image. This can happen if: - The file was partially downloaded - The file extension doesn’t match the actual format - The file is a renamed non-image file
Fix: Try re-downloading the original file. Use the Format Identifier to verify what format it actually is.
File too large
KoalaPic accepts files up to 50 MB. Images with extremely high resolution (over 100 megapixels) may also fail.
Fix: Resize the image before uploading, or compress it first.
Unsupported format
The file format isn’t in our supported list, or it’s a rare variant we can’t process.
Fix: Check the supported formats list. For RAW files, ensure it’s a supported camera model.
Server error
Occasionally, a conversion may fail due to a temporary server issue.
Fix: Wait a moment and try again. If the problem persists, contact us.
Retry options
When a conversion fails, you’ll see a Retry button. KoalaPic allows: - 1 automatic retry - Up to 2 manual retries (click the retry button) - Maximum 3 total attempts per file
Still stuck?
If you’ve tried the above and your conversion still fails, contact support with: - The original file (if possible) - The error message shown - Your desired output format
Thanks for your feedback!
