Using KoalaPic on Slack

KoalaPic integrates with Slack for team image conversion.

Installation

  1. Visit the KoalaPic website and click the “Add to Slack” button.
  2. Authorize the app for your workspace.
  3. The bot appears in your workspace’s app list.

How to convert

  1. Upload a file to any channel where the app is installed.
  2. Use the slash command: /koalapic convert jpg (or any output format).
  3. The converted file is posted back in the thread.

Slash commands

Command Description
/koalapic convert [format] Convert the last uploaded image
/koalapic formats List supported formats
/koalapic help Show help information

Tips

  • The bot watches for file uploads in channels where it’s installed.
  • Converted files are posted as threaded replies to keep channels clean.
  • Each user gets 30 conversions per hour.
  • Works in public channels, private channels, and DMs.
