JPG doesn’t support transparency. Any transparent areas are filled with white. Use PNG output if you need to keep transparency.

Yes. SVG has no inherent pixel size, so you set the width, height and DPI for the render. Leave them unset and the SVG's own declared dimensions are used at 96 DPI. Ask for the size you actually need rather than scaling the JPG afterwards.

Only if the font is available to the renderer. Text in an SVG references a font by name, and if that font is not installed server-side a fallback is substituted, changing the appearance. Convert text to paths or outlines before uploading to guarantee the result.

Only when the artwork is photographic or the file must be small and transparency is irrelevant. Most SVG content is flat colour with hard edges, which is exactly where JPG produces visible ringing — PNG or WEBP are usually the better render targets.
